About Donna

Donna is a married mother of 8 children and 4 grandchildren. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. She grew up in Knoxville where she eventually embarked upon her career after giving birth to child with disabilities. In her fight to improve her daughter Rachael's quality of life, she began her career with the Support and Training For Exceptional Parents (STEP) a non-profit organization as their Transition Facilitator.

During her tenure at STEP, she was one of 23 professional contributors to the published book, Team Up For Your Child, written by Wendy Lowe Besmann. Donna is currently writing her novel, Raising Rachael, to be published sometime in early 2009.

Donna currently resides in Central Texas, where she continues her fight for the rights of disabled children and their families.
